Pastor Andre Eaton and Family

Andre Eaton was born in Brooklyn, New York on December 2, 1969. He has been married to Michelle Clift-Eaton for over 13 years. They are the proud parents of Andre Jr., and Maya Elizabeth Eaton.

Pastor Dre, as he is known, started preaching at the age of eleven.  He had his trial sermon and was ordained under the Late Founder and Pastor, Bishop Bennie Shepard in April 1980. His trial sermon message was “Lord, Here am I; Send Me.”

Since that time, he has worked with a number of pastors, ministers, and churches preaching and teaching God’s word throughout the United States. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Brandeis University in 1991 and Masters of Social Work Degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1993.

He became the Assistant Pastor of St. John’s under the leadership of Pastor Burrell Sumpter in 1993, until he left for Georgia in 2000. He is currently working on his Masters of Divinity Degree and is a former student of Turner Theological Seminary at the Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta, Georgia. In 2008 he received the Bishop Frank Talbot Award for Academic Excellence for his theological studies towards his degree and in two years of completed study at I.T.C. he made the honor roll both consecutive years. He has served under Pastors Dr. James Butler and David Morrow of the Greater Bethel A.M.E. Church in Georgia as their Youth Pastor. He is currently a  member of the Metropolitan Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance Conference of New York City.

Pastor Eaton's vision is to see souls saved, the saints equipped for service to the Lord, and the New York City community transformed by the powerful Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Pastor Eaton truly believes in the mission; that the church must be a place of love, lifting and liberation in every area of its ministry.

To God be the honor, glory and power forever for what he is doing through the vision of our Pastor and the St. John's Pentecostal Church family.

It is more than a church, it's family.
